Stroller Time

After a couple of months of looking, searching, and doing research we finally found the stroller! My intentions were to get the 'Sit and Stand' but after taking Connor and letting him ride with a car seat on the front, I discovered there was NO room for my big boy. My sister/brother-in-law were here and we went to Buy Buy Baby (love the store) and John discovered the newest stroller made made Chicco. It is a double stroller and my car seat actually snaps in AND there is plenty of room for Connor. I can put the car seat in the front if Connor wants to nap, or it can go in the back when Connor wants to ride! I am very pleased with our decision.

Like most couples, we documented everything and anything with pictures and journals with our first child. I feel like we are in some way cheating baby #2 (who still by the way has NO NAME), but in reality we are living life and doing the best we can. So with that said, I documented James putting the new stroller together. We at least have something for the baby book now!!!

Yea, we are about 5 weeks away! I'm beginning to nest and prepare for this second bundle of joy! Clothing and blankets are washed and put away, my next thing on my "to do" list is clean (mom is actually doing this for me in between Connor's bday and baby) and get the carpets cleaned!!!
Some funny things Connor has said lately:
*You know mommy, baby brother doesn't cry much
(after yelling at me for about 15 min. one morning through the monitor):
*Mommy, mommy I need to go potty! I jump out of bed and ran up the stairs and whisked him off to the bathroom and he then says, "I don't really need to go, I just wanted you to come and get me!"
*I'm not changing poopy diapers, you are!
Last but not least he has discovered the word but!!! "Buy why, but not know, but, but, but...."

Virus, end of school, zoo, and a trip to Grandma's and Papa's

I have been post poning updating the blog due to a VERY bad virus that our computer had. We had a virus protection on it and it was still out of commission for over 3 weeks!!! It is very difficult to live without technology, what did we do before high speed Internet????

A couple of weeks ago our PATS (parents as teachers) group took 8 children to the Ft. Worth Zoo. We had a great time! The kiddos are all at a fun stage where they all love the animals. All Connor wanted to see this trip were the elephants and we did and he was pretty much done. He loved hanging out with all the girls and riding in Ms. Karen's car (she has a dvd player)!

Connor also had his end of the year party at school. We had a pool party outside. It was a lot of FUN!!!
This was taken the last day of school. I remember taking a young 2 year old in the first day and now he is my almost 3 year old!!! He knows his colors, shapes, and can count to 14. He loves to be read to and his favorite color is BLUE!!! I know that God has great plans for my sweet little boy.

At 3o weeks pregnant, we decided to take one last trip to Denver City. We had a great time. Connor loves playing with his cousins and spending time with Grandma and Papa. It was a long trip having to stop every 1 1/2 hours to go to the bathroom and stretch, but I'm so happy we got to go!

James and Connor in Grandma's new pool!

Happy Wednesday!

School Camp out

We love Connor's school!!!! I cannot say enough nice things about it, and how the staff is so wonderful with the kiddos. With that said they hosted a camp out. I got our name on the waiting list a little late and she called back and said there is not enough room for another tent, but we were more than welcomed to come and hang out and enjoy the festivities until "lights out". James was BUMMED!!! He loves to camp out and when it comes to this subject his and my ideas are completely DIFFERENT!!! He always tells people that my idea of roughing it is room service, and I think he could live out doors. Now since this is MY blog I get to defend myself...I don't HATE sleeping on the hard, cold/hot ground, with NO electricity and running water I just perfer NOT to!!! Especially now being 29 weeks pregnant getting up to put shoes on and find an bathroom at least 2 times a night is not my idea of a good time. Growing up we camped out and had a ball, but now that I am older and a little wiser I much prefer my soft bed with 700 pillows and a fan that runs on high with the ac on 70 and Connor's noise maker coming through the baby monitor!

Back on track...

So we ended up having a great time roasting marshmallows and eating smores, having a scavenger hunt, running around with flashlights, and of course eating hot dogs (gross)!!!! Connor's "girlfriend" from his class was there and they had their tent up and ready, later I found out they went home at about 11:15. So I am definitely glad we left about 8:45 and slept in our OWN BEDS!!!! (Idon't know why this is underlined)
Connor and Paige "looking" for thier items.

The kiddos are listening to a bubble story.

Connor and Paige playing house.

Yum! Connor didn't seem to like it as much as I did!!! He would rather have the parts of the smore all seperate.

"I'm not shinning this in her eyes, mommy!"

I know with a house full of boys camping is in my FUTURE, I just hope these boys all realize what my definition of camping is...We still are an undecided house about a name, so if you have any GOOD suggestions send them our way! We have 9 weeks to go:)

No News is GOOD news

I had my 27 week apt. today and everything went great. I am measuring up right on track. The weight was a little higher than I thought it should be, but I will thank the Schwan's man this week when he comes for that (darn ICE CREAM SANDWICHES!)! We have tentatively scheduled an induction date of July 26th!!! Exactly 12 weeks from yesterday. WOW, where has this pregnancy gone? I am so thankful the last 8 weeks have been uneventful. This time last pregnancy (Connor) I was on meds for pre-term labor. I am thankful that has not happened.

We still have no name, I'm a planner and this is driving me CRAZY!!! I know that we will all three come to a decision soon enough. James did a great job painting Connor's bedroom this past weekend. He also put the crib back together and all the bedding is set up. Now all I have to do are details in both boys rooms'.

School is coming to an end for Connor and we are gearing up for lots of swimming and having a great time! Connor and I went down to the HOA pool to put our feet in the water and "check" things out and there were CRAZY people swimming. It will be warm enough before to long and we will be those CRAZY people in the water!

Connor has said and done some funny things lately. He is so much fun. The other day I heard him talking to his toys and he told them that his best friend mommy would like to join them. Such a sweet boy. We were at Chick-fil-a a couple of days ago playing and he was the only one in the playroom. He saw some other kids eating/having a snack and looked at me and said "Why do they not want to play with me, mommy?" I told James and it broke our hearts. We are going to have a difficult time with this "growing up" stuff!!!!

Pictures of the bedrooms and growing belly will come soon. Have a great week!!!

Six Flags or BUST!!!

A couple of weekends ago we met Nana, Papa, and Uncle Bubba at Six Flags. We were all completely and totally on Connor's schedule. He had a blast. Every single one of us were at his beck and call. Connor got to ride every ride he wanted to and some...more than once. Our day pass is good all season long so we will be able to take Connor to all the holiday activities and festivities.

Connor is taking Papa for a ride.

Nana was the "lucky" one to ride this "small" Superman ride.

Hands up for the mini mine train.

This is the ride that Connor continues to talk about. He loved flying the airplane up and down "all by myself"! James and I continue to talk about how much Connor reminds us of James' Dad, Mike. During our trip Connor had to check out the mechanics of everything. How it works, what the screws are for, and what everything is suppose to do? There were points of our trip that we couldn't tell if Connor was having fun or just in AWE of the mechanics. James and I decided that we might have a "deep thinker" on our hands. The other favorite was the Log Ride, unfortunately I only have the picture that we BOUGHT.

I remember getting to drive these cars when I was little. It is so much fun to see my little one getting to make the same memories that I have!!! :) Eric is the only one making sure Connor doesen't crash...or he was ready to go home (can't really tell)!!
We had a GREAT trip and hopefully next time we go I will get to ride something...anything!!! On a side note, Six Flags has a strict policy against pregnant moms getting on anything. I think the cars were even off limits. Thanks James, Mom, Dad, and Eric for going so Connor could enjoy Six Flags.

Getting Bigger!!! Maynard anyone???

Yikes, seeing pictures of yourself is not always flattering especially when the belly continues to grow! 16 Weeks

21 Weeks

23 Weeks

At our 23 week apt. everything looked great! Baby boy who doesn't have a name yet is a mover. He always seems to "dance" when I lay down or get still, go figure. His heart rate was great, my weight was great (so they say), and I am measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule. We could have a baby as early as the 18th of July. This is a little scary for James and I on a couple of different levels. With Connor I think I was completely ready for him by 21 weeks, this pregnancy is a little different. NOT PREPARED!!! Also, Connor's 3rd birthday party is scheduled for the 16th and cannot be moved. YIKES, (lots of YIKES in this post) I know it will all get done but the planner in me is going a little crazy! We are having some difficulty naming this little guy. Since we found out and told Connor about him we have called him "Maynard". I know what your thinking "Maynard"? James is one funny guy. Anyways, Connor now thinks the baby's name is "Maynard" and changing it at this point has become a little difficult. I am NOT a fan of "Maynard" at ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! James has his choices, I have mine, and obviously Connor has a few besides "Maynard" that he continues to want. I know we will all figure it out it might be the day they kick us out of the hospital to bring him home, but we will all come together and decide on a name...HOPEFULLY!!!!

A little late on Easter pictures...

Here are a few pictures over the course of a couple of weeks of our Easter outings... Connor and Mommy on Easter Eve...we "cheated" and went to Easter service on Saturday evening. Same sermon, songs, and pew!!!
Our sweet boy! He is getting so big. YES, we wear Crocs with EVERYTHING!!!

Connor and Daddy at the Greater Lewisville Early Childhood PTA (GLECPTA) egg hunt. It was a little chilly outside, but Connor still had fun. His favorite part was the ice cream truck.

Nana and Papa went with Connor and I to Nash Farm in Grapevine the weekend before Easter. Daddy and Uncle Bubba made a trip to the Sweet Sixteen tournament in Houston. Connor was a little distracted by all the eggs.

Connor and his best buddy Hayden!
