Santa...

This morning was the annual MOMZ Holiday party. I have decided that when Connor gets out with other kiddos he is 100% BOY!!! Running, screaming, and acting SILLY! He had so much fun....until Santa came in. The child wrapped his legs around me so tightly that I could not pry him off. Hence, me in the pictures with Santa. I think the only reason he got as close as he did was because he wanted a present. He got a really fun book.

Santa walked around after all the kids sat in his lap, Connor STILL was not sure about Santa being behind him.

He is my sweet little angel. What a super cute kid. In parenthesises in little words his shirt says (just ask my mommy)!

Still doesn't want to get close.

Yea, I got my book!!!!
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
Be safe,
Kellie

Polar Express

Yesterday Connor and I braved the cold weather and met some moms from our MOMZ group in Grapevine to ride the Polar Express train. We had a great time. All the kiddos wore their pj's. We dressed Connor in his Christmas jammies. When we boarded the train the kids were given a small ornament. We listened to a story, sang songs, and there was even a special visit from the "Big Guy" himself. Connor wasn't scared of Santa, but he kept his eyes on him the entire time.

We both have a very goofy look on our face! Sorry!
He was definitely a wiggle worm. He wanted to sit in the window sill, but there was a sweet little boy sitting beside us. I couldn't ask him to MOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was taken in the tent before we boarded the train. It was cooooolllldddd. Connor kept running back to me saying, "BURRRR, Momma".

He loves to eat. He was bumming food off of other kids. He loves this hat, also. We got it last year at Janie and Jack, I was so happy it fit again this year. We do have a large head. I don't think it will make it another year. We'll have to order one online....
Merry Christmas,
Kellie

Just a few pictures of the last few weeks. When the child wants to play outside wind, rain, or COOOOOLLLLLLDDDDD is not keeping him away.
He loves to pray and say "AMEN"!!!
bURR....go TECH!

Homemade whipping cream tastes good on EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sleeping angel. Where does time go?

Giving

James and I have been frantically getting things prepared for Christmas. We realized that our shopping was NOT yet complete. We braved the cold the other night and went to Grapevine Mills Mall. We came out with a BIG heart and a lesson taught!!! This Christmas we stared a new tradition. As a family we went to the BIG tree inside the mall and chose a girl and a boy to buy gifts for. James did a great job explaining to Connor what and why we were doing this, while I stood with big tears as I watched and listened to a great father teaching his innocent son about life's lessons. We didn't come out with any gifts, but our Hearts were full and we felt like we would make a very special boy and girl happy this holiday season.

Blogger is not letting me add pictures at this time I will try later on.

On a side note:
Thank you all for the love and support you have shown as the Kelly family grieves the loss of James' grandfather. We appreciate the prayers.

Merry Christmas,
Kellie

Push-Ups

We hope that this blog finds everyone feeling happy and healthy. We had a great Thanksgiving. We all have a lot to be thankful for this year. Everyone seemed to enjoy their time in the big "D" with us. The James, John, and Mike enjoyed the Thanksgiving day Cowboys game. Kathie, Kristi, Connor, and I went searching for something open....we found Wal-Mart! I will post a few pictures of Thanksgiving later.

James is in Washington D.C. so Connor and I made the short trip to Hillsboro to see Nana, Papa, and Uncle Bubba. The traffic was horrible on Sunday getting here. I-35 was at a stand still more than one time. Connor and I have enjoyed our time here.

Eric and I went to get gas last night and this is what we came home to. Connor was eating a push-up in the TUB!!!!!!!!!!! Although his face doesn't show it, he really did enjoy the WHOLE experience.
He was definitely SAD when the Push-Up was all gone. The rest of bath time wasn't much fun.
Enjoy your week, hope you all get your shopping done early (ha ha), and we hope to see you all soon.!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoying the warm Fall weather

The other day Connor and I did a little Christmas shopping down at Parker Square. The weather was gorgeous!!! Here are a few pictures of him running and playing with his sunglasses on.

A couple of weeks ago James bought a Beatles CD. Connor loves to sit and play in my car and listen to the CD. He messes with all the knobs and buttons while sitting on the console singing "I Love You, Yea, Yea, Yea!" So anytime he puts on the sunglasses on he sings YEA, YEA, YEA. So adorable.

Helping Mom Out, the Fire Station, and One Crazy Week

A few days ago I was doing laundry and I had a very handy helper. He was so cute. Connor wanted in the dryer so bad.
This was the sweet face he gave me when he turned around!!!
Last Tuesday the Momz group that I belong to went to the Fire Station. I didn't know how Connor would react because of the last couple of days we had together. I took Connor to get a flu shot the previous day and he was given the wrong shot!!! YIKES, was I a crazy MOMMA. It ended up okay, but I was a wreck. The nurse said that she made a mistake and gave him something he had previously had (Pedarix), which in the long run would be okay! To make a very long story short, he is fine, I'm fine, and I made a "friendly" call to the supervisor! That same night the little Tyke was running around in his "birthday suit," after tub time and tinkled on his nighttime noise maker. The next morning Connor decided that he wanted to help me get the Cinnamon toast out of the oven and burned his little fingers. OUCH! The previous day my cell phone took a dip in the toilet, James IPod got washed in the washing machine. Today seemed to be okay, Connor woke up at 5:45 and only slept for 20 minutes today. It has been a very long day. So anyways, here are the pictures at the Fire Station. We did end up having a great time.

He loved the fire hat. His Winnie the Pooh is now wearing it!
happy Tuesday!

Update: Last few weeks

WOW, where did the month of October go? I can hardly believe that 2009 is right around the corner. We have definitely been busy the last couple of weeks. TECH FOOTBALL (YEA), Halloween, and our normal daily "Stuff". I thought that I would post a few pictures from the month of October.

We are now getting ready for Thanksgiving, hope everyone is doing great!!!!

Under the table is Connor's favorite place to take Molly's toys. He knows that she won't come under there and get them!!!

Getting our daily vitamin c....outside!!!! BUURRRR it was chilly, but the boy loves playing in the sand.

This is one of Connor's best buddies. He loves playing with her at Gymboree. She was the cutest little bug. Connor couldn't figure out what was going on with her head, though.

Here are the "Three Amigos". Connor loves his friends at Gymboree. These are his two best friends, Aubry and Brooklyn. Connor adores Aubry's Mommy. He sits in here lap at Gymboree more than mine!

Trick or Treating at TT's (Tiffany) house. James and Connor were so adorable.

This is James' football face. He is trying to teach it to Connor. Happy MOnDaY!!!

Happy Halllllooooowwweeeennn!!

This morning was the annual Halloween party with the MOMZ Club that I joined. We had a great time. We decorated pumpkins, ate a spinach/chocolate cupcake (he never new the difference), and ran around playing games. The pictures got put on in the wrong order. As soon as we got into the car my little "Wes Welker" was OUT.
We live less than 2 minutes from the athletic club where the party was, and this little guy was asleep before I had my seat belt on. I did get a picture of him right before he fell asleep!!

All I seem to get is his back. He loved watching the big kids play.

OOOOO!!! He got to pick a treat out of the bucket. Luckily we chose Nerds and Laffy Taffy...daddy will love that.

Connor is choosing stickers for his pumpkin. He just wanted to grab all of them and run off. His little friend here didn't like that idea!!!

This will probably be the first of a few parties this year...hope you are all doing well.
Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Updated Pictures

Here are pictures of my most recent blog. Pictures from The Pumpkin Patch, The Pumpkin Express Party, and Connor and I went to Grapevine to check out the Monarch Butterflies migrating to Mexico. The day that we went it was very cold outside, therefore we only say a few butterflies. We had a great time together!!!

Connor and Mommy riding the hay ride.

Here we are at Grapevine Botanical Garden looking for butterflies.

This is DADDY'S BIG pumpkin...and Connor's pumpkin is in his lap.

Connor saw the big kiddos riding these see-saws and thought that he could too.

This is our live-in horse...Molly.

Have a great week!!!!

Football, Pumpkins, and Floors

There has been alot going on in the Kelly household. Where to begin....

Last weekend James, Connor, and I flew to Lubbock for the Texas Tech game. We had a great time, it was a great game, and I finally got to watch a game. we left Connor with James' mom, Kathy and Aunt Kristie (John's wife). They were troopers. My brother still has his house in Lubbock, so they watched Connor at his house while Mike, John, James, and I went to the game.

I got to go and visit my best friend. I went to college with Katy and we taught together. I was so excited to see Katy, Elly, and Jer. Elly is getting so big, and Jer fixed a great meal. Connor loved giving Elly headbutts gently. If he doesn't want to kiss he will give a gentle nod. So he did!

Yesterday we had new flooring put down. It looks great...and I know it's clean. Between dog hair, Connor spilling, James spilling, and my clumsiness our old carpet was GROSS!!! Needless to say James and I moved ALL the furniture TWICE!!!! We have a sectional couch, a piano, love seat, and two tables, plus an entertainment center and TV. My muscles are SORE!!! We both did this feeling under the weather. The floor looks great but my house was in shambles yesterday. Luckily they got it all done in one day.

Connor and I had to get out during the day, so I took him to a local pumpkin patch. We had a great time. We will take Daddy back to get pumpkins.

This morning while I was cleaning up I found Connor "riding" Molly. While I wanted him off of her, I knew I had to get a great picture...so I did. Connor enjoyed playing horse with Molly. She is so good with him, but I did make him get off and say he was sorry and give her a kiss.

We hope that everyone is doing well and enjoying the cooling temps!!!

Like anyone CARES!!!!

James just informed me that I WAS WRONG!!!!! Not that anyone would have ever known, or cared, but it was George Harrison's sister NOT John Lennon's aunt!!! Sorry for the mix up. That mix up is not as bad as not being able to name all the Beatles. Tiffany and I were waiting for the show to start and trying to remember all their names and COULDN'T!!! It came back to us shortly.

Anyways have a great evening!!!

Big Cedar Lodge

Last week James had an executive retreat in Branson, Missouri. He invited me along so Mom and Dad (and Eric) kept Connor for 3 days. James was in meetings most of the time, so
I got to spend time at the Spa and Shop. I had a blast. Tiffany (at James' work) did a fantastic job of coordinating the trip for the spouses. The food was amazing, the scenery was beautiful, and I got some much needed REST!!!!

Mom did a fantastic job of keeping me updated on the little one. She would send me pics of him on my phone throughout the day. I think that is why I didn't get AS HOME SICK for HIM as I thought I would!!! Thanks Nana, Papa, and Bubba.

Here are a few pics of Connor that she sent me.

He loves to play outside!!!! She let him stay outside from the time he woke up (in pjs) until bedtime. He did have to go in and put on clothes (per moms request) sometime during the day.

Helping Nana open her mail!

Here are the three Amigos. Papa, Connor, and Uncle Bubba!!! They had a blast. Nana made the coment that she was exhausted by the time we got home. She said she slept GREAT that night!!

I thought I had taken some pics of the beautiful resort, but somehow they weren't on my phone. We also went to a show in Branson. It was called the Liver Pool Legends. It was about the Beatles. John Lennon's aunt was there that night answering questions during intermission. The music was great and Tiffany and I kept saying how many of the songs we knew but didn't know the Beatles wrote/sang!

We had a BLAST. Connor was well taken care of and all he could say for the next few days was "Bu-BA", "Nana", and "Papa". I know that they also enjoyed having him.

Thanks Mom, Dad, and Eric!!!

PROUD DADDY!!!!

Yesterday Connor and I went outside to play in the front yard and there was a package on the door step. I looked at it and saw that it was from E-Bay. It was addressed to James so I thought we would wait to open it until he got home. When he walked in the door and I told him that his package was on the table and he wanted Connor to help him open it.

Here is what was in the package. A Wes Welker New England Patriots jersey. I could see the pride in James' eyes. He put it on Connor and grinned from ear to ear. Connor had no clue, but it made his daddy proud.

Not only do we bleed RED AND BLACK for the Texas Tech Red Raiders we also bleed Blue and Red for the New England Patriots. Not only for Wes Welker but Tom Brady and the rest of the gang. Side Note: The boys in the Kelly family let the women play Fantasy Football this year. I got the number 1 pick and rightfully choose Tom Brady. You know where this is going...needless to say I lost in opening game to my brother due to Tom's absence!!! The Kelly household was SAD!!!

Here is the future Quarterback(linebacker, tight end, or anything else he wants to be) after an AWESOME throw to MOM in the end zone to beat dad and win the game!!!!!

YEA, We love the weather!!!

I don't know how many of you out there know how long the days can be when the sun is beating down about 100 degrees....or....when the rain is coming down so hard you can't even see the sand box in the back yard WITH a 1 YEAR OLD NEEDING to go outside.

We are absolutely loving the weather outside. Connor, Molly, and I spent all day yesterday outside (and this morning). Look he even has on sweatpants. We played in the backyard on the swing set, Connor chased Molly around the yard, and I watched with the biggest motherly SMILE on my face.

This is Molly's baby. She sucks on it and is very protective of it. She does let Connor play catch with it, BUT enough is enough when Molly gets tired of sharing. She gives a short growl and Connor comes running. She is a GREAT dog!!! When James got home the two of them played in the sandbox. Connor wants someone in there with him. He won't stay and play by himself. James loved burring Connor's feet in the sand!!!

After the boys got out to the sandbox I had a treat for Connor. A CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE and milk!!!! He has never gotten a WHOLE cookie, much less get to hold it all by himself and eat the ENTIRE cookie.

This is the look of approval with a full belly and a HAPPY HEART!!!

We are looking forward to more beautiful days outside.

A little late...

These pictures were taken at Aunt Kristie and Uncle John's wedding in July. They had a beautiful ceremony at the Spirit Ranch in LBK. It is so difficult to get a "good" family picture. It is like getting a root canal just to get James' picture. I think that these pics are WONDERFUL. They turned out awesome.
Here are the boys!!!
This picture was taken out at Kristi's sisters house. Isn't Connor cute?
Here we are READY to EAT!!!! He was such a trooper. We dressed him in the tux at 3:30 and he got to put on his pjs at 8:00. He did great. He was sleepy and he did sleep in his stroller through the entire reception.

We had so much fun. When I get more pictures of the rest of the family I will post them! Enjoy your week!!!
