A few of my favorite things

I would like to say that I took millions of photos this Christmas season and have them all stashed away for photo books to come, but I don't. I totally forgot my camera at every party and when we made the trek to Denver City for the big day! UGH is all I can say for myself...Thankfully my sisters-in-laws got some great shots for those photo books that I hope to do "one of these days", but for the purpose of this blog, YOU get family portraits! I love them. They turned out so great I am in love with these three boys in my life. Thank you Christine Harvey for making memories I can have forever!
Before we got out of the car, each one of them got the "this is important to me" talk. Two of the three cooperated. We take what we can get from Ian. We have since then figured out how to get him to smile on command...BRIBERY!!!
We had a wonderful Christmas/December teaching the boys about Christ and the reason we BELIEVE! Merry Late Christmas and a Happy NEW YEAR!

The most wonderful time of the year

What an awesome holiday season this has been. We have really tried to stress the importance of this Christmas season to Connor. We have talked about baby Jesus and the Wise men, the shepherds, to baby Jesus being born in a manger. He is loving reading all the books and singing the songs.

Ian was not to sure about this. Connor wanted to talk to him longer :0)

Friends watching the Nutcracker at the Dallas Children's Theater.

Getting ready for Santa Clause at Casa MaƱana.

Making gingerbread houses.

Just a little brotherly love. These two melt my heart.

Riding the carousel at Bass Pro Shop.

Merry Christmas!!!

Random November

Yep, I missed another month. Ugh where does time go? The boys are doing great. We are all gearing up for a fun filled holiday season.

We got our first pair of glasses! It only took Ian 3 weeks to break them.

Ian being silly:0)

It was hard being a Red Raider this season. It didn't stop us from taking Connor to a game...we left at halftime:0(

Ian seems to get himself in predicaments all the time.

Shrek the Halls at the Gaylord. Yes it was COLD. Yes it was EXPENSIVE. Yes Ian was MISERABLE. Yes Connor loved SLEDDING!!!!

Not a great picture, but he loved sledding!

Here's to getting a fee more posts in during the month of December.

Another weekend at the Farm

This past weekend James decided to make a quick trip to Lubbock/Denver City to the Texas Tech game. The boys and I decided to go halfway with him and stay the weekend at the farm with mom and dad. Here are a few of the things we did.

Here are the pumpkins we carved. Papa and Connor carved the face and Ian and I carved the kitty cat on the fence.

Ian fell asleep in the warm sun while riding the mule.

Papa says every 4 year old should learn to drive. He let Connor loose on 100 acres. Luckily all he needed was the path around the barn.

Connor and his fish. Papa did throw the line but Connor reeled it in. He sure did NOT want to touch the fish though.

Fishing at the tank.

15 months

I took Ian to the dr. this morning for his 15 month ckup. He is still on the "petite" curve.

He is:
*Weighing in at 21.10 pounds 10-15%
*length is 30.5 inches 25-50%
*head is 15%

Some things I want to remember:
-He loves to torture Connor.
-he continues to put everything in his mouth.
-Ian is eating all table foods with the exception when we go out to eat or we are in a bind he still will eat baby food.
- He has a temper and will show it to you if he doesn't get his way.
-he has the sweetest smile.

Happy Birthday Dad!

This past weekend was James' birthday. We had a great time celebrating. I "let" James pick his own present out this year...two tickets to the World Series! He actually picked ME to go with him. It was fun hanging out and enjoying each others company. Because we went to the game we didn't get to celebrate with the kids. On Monday we ordered our favorite cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday to the BEST daddy two boys could ask for!

On our way to the game! I love you!

Celebrating at the end of the game.

Awesome! I get chills/teary eyed every time the anthem is played!

Go RANGERS!!!!

One last Summer trip to Galveston

The day after James and I returned from the Bahamas we loaded up the boys and went to the beach. We rented a very nice beach house and spent time with the family. Ian was a bit under the weather and very clingy since I had just left him for 5 days. Connor had a blast playing in the waves and digging in the sand.
Here are a few pictures from our trip:

I finally think I've caught up on my summer blogs...now onto FALL.

Bahamas

At the end of August James and I took our 10 year anniversery trip to the Bahamas. We had a great time relaxing, hanging out at the beach, and resting. We spent most of our time relaxing on the beach. We thought hurricane Irene was going to put a damper on our plans, but she didn't and off we went (without our precious boys). I was fine during the days, but at night and early in the mornings I was homesick for the boys. They were in great hands, Nana & Papa stayed two nights with them and Grandma & Papa finished out the last part.
This was the view on our beach. Due to Irene the beaches were not crowded at all.
I spent many hours here!
We made several trips over to Paradise Island (home of Atlantis) and visited the ca
sino and walked around the property of the hotel. It is an amazing place. Hopefully one day soon we will take the kids back to visit.
What an AWESOME trip to take with James. I love him so much, here's to many more years of happiness. I love you James David Kelly!!!

The Big 1 for Sweet Ian

My baby turned one in that crazy month called JULY! What were we thinking having both kids born 11 days apart. It sure does make this mommy lose her mind. Ian is amazing. He is funny, he loves Connor, and lights up when he sees mommy and daddy. We had a birthday party for family for both boys. They each got to blow out candles and have their own cake. Ian wasn't quite sure about the whole cake thing at first, but he got down and dirty and soon decided he really liked it.
Some things I want to remember about Ian:
*He is a bit wobbly, but can walk
*He eats pretty much what we eat, but I still feed him baby food (fruits/veggies)
*He watches everything that Connor does
*He is attached to mommy and daddy
Stats:
Length: 29 1/2 inches tall 65%
weight: 20.3 pounds 25-50%
Head: 75 %
Ian,
You light up our world. We love you so much. Your smile and happy attitude makes the room light up. We love and pray that God continues to mold you into a loving little brother. Happy Birthday little guy!
Love,
Mom & Dad

My 30th Birthday Bash

My birthday was perfect! The boys spoiled me. Connor got me my very own PINK WII remote and James got me a new laptop.

After Ians morning nap we took the boys o Kids Kastle to play and feed the ducks. We ate lunch out and came home and put the boys down for a nap.

Connor was up and ready for cake and singing.

Connor found a friend and went and played tag with him.

With an 8th Wonder cupcake, they sang Happy Birthday to me. I have 3 pretty awesome boys that take care of me.
